I Was ‘Slicing’ the English – Diana Asamoah Explains Why She Said the ‘Battery is the Lord’ – Video

Evangelist Diana Asamoah has come out to explain why she spoke her viral English – to wit – ‘The battery is the Lord’s’.

According to the gospel singer, she did not ‘gbaa’ as Ghanaians are thinking but she was speaking American English.

Asamoah was on Nana Ama McBrown’s ‘United Showbiz‘ show over the weekend and addressed the viral video.

She told McBrown that she did not say ‘battery’ as Ghanaian are saying but she said ‘barry’ – an American slang.

Diana Asamoah said she was speaking American English and was ‘slicing’ her words – I think she meant slurring.

Apparently the whole thing was due to her speaking in a ‘LAFA’ – locally acquired foreign accent’, and not due to her Kumerican accent.
