The National Democratic Congress Party lead by former President and flagbearer John Dranani Mahama launched their manifesto yesterday, September 7th.
Among other things, the NDC party has promised to legalise and regulate Okada.
That seems to have sparked debate from the general public as some people strongly oppose the idea.

Assin Central MP, Hon Kennedy Agyapong has also spoken against the legalisation of Okada.
In an interview on Adom Tv, the outspoken politician has noted that Mahama is a failed former President to believe legalising Okada is a way of providing jobs for the youth.
According to Ken, people who ride okada (motorcycle) do so because they are left with no option, not because they see it as something worth living for.

He added that Mahama purchased a posh car for his 19-year-old son when he was celebrating his birthday in abroad but he wants Ghanaians to pride themselves with the legalisation of okada.
