For many musicians, the sole aim of getting into music as a profession is not to entertain people alone but also, ultimately is to bag awards and make so much money of course.
For the Rap Dacta, aka Okyeame Kwame, he is into music just to entertain fans and to get a message across to them.

In an interview, the father of two reveals that he has never been concerned about awards.
He says they are just some of the bonuses that come with music and not the essential win.

“Winning an award is a bonus to every artiste profession. I do music to promote the industry and Ghana as a whole, if I win an award, I will be happy but it’s not a criterion for doing music.
“Ghanaians don’t give the same attention to Ghana music awards like the do foreign ones like BET, GRAMMY’S, and other which is bad. How can the Cedi match up to the Dollar if we are can’t appreciate our local products,”? he said in a recent interview.
