Veteran Nigerian actress Victoria Inyama is pleading with ladies out there to be extra wary about the kind of things they put on as clothes.
She says dressing appropriately can spare a lady from being rap*d.

According to her, it is apparent Nigerian authorities have decided not to lift a finger to help r*pe victims or make culprits face the full extent of the law hence the only way they can help themselves is to dress a tad lot decently.
”It’s obvious to me that the Nigerian government is not really ready to put a fixed penalty to Rape and so l beg my ladies (minus the minors or aged victims) to plsssss dress in appropriate clothing so as to reduce the trigger for the perpetrator.
“A lot of these Perpetrators have underlying mental health issues & being around them in certain clothing is a trigger…..sadly the victim still gets to be shamed & ridiculed, so since this government is not ready to do much, it would be wise to safeguard yourself.”

Victoria is not the first person who is saying the way a person dresses plays a major role in rape.
In the past, we have heard people blurt that out times without count and it has always been an argument no one has won because we have seen people all covered up in flowing dresses and hijabs been raped so have we seen people almost clothless raped as well.
