Award-winning Ghanaian journalist, Serwaa Amihere has called out Ghanaians, especially her fellow celebrities who are quiet over the gruesome death of a 90-year-old woman in Kafaba in the Northern Region.
Over the weekends, there were reports that a 90-year-old woman has been lynched to death in Kafaba after residents accused her of witchcraft.
Though the incident has been condemned, Serwaa Amihere believes Ghanaians can do better in seeking justice for the poor old lady.
According to her, Ghanaian celebrities particularly are not speaking against this barbaric incident happening right under their noses but were quick to shout ‘black lives matter’ when George Floyd was murdered in the U.S.
She wrote, ‘We saw a lot of Ghanaians especially celebrities and socialites speak up and condemn the George Floyd killing. Where are they in this KAFABA inhumane and gruesome killing? Ghanaian lives matter too!‘
