Ghanaian Afro-pop singer and songwriter, Noella Wiyaala has for the first time in her public life vented her displeasure at some bloggers and industry critics for describing her as irrelevant in the industry.
Wiyaala, who specifically called out Entertainment pundit and blogger, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo in her rants warned Ghanaian bloggers to take her name out of their mouths on their entertainment shows if they claim she is not good enough as an artist and has not made an impact in the Ghanaian music scene.
“This message is going to industry players, especially those who do blogging, criticizing, and whatever. Please KMJ and JnJ, Asamoah Baidoo and all your whatever, whatever. Whatever, whatever doesn’t mean I’m being rude. But to everybody, if I don’t really count in this industry, or if I don’t count and I have never been counted as part of this industry, then don’t discuss me when you’re talking about the showbiz or show business in Ghana,” she said.
The singer is of the belief that because she has made it a policy to do her songs with decency and does not tow the line of nudity, people think she is not relevant enough.
Wiyaala was emphatic that she does not seek to be an ‘artiste of the year kind of musician’ but to be a lifetime musician whose music will be relevant even in death.
