Popular Nigerian Preacher, Bishop David Oyedepo, in a new sermon series preached via social media, has claimed that any individual who fails to pay tithes is condemned to a financial curse.

According to the renowned cleric, who is the founder of Living Faith Church, in his message ‘Breaking Limits’, wealth and prosperity are impossible without tithing.
In a Tweet on his official twitter handle, he said, “Tithing is an inescapable covenant obligation. Prosperity not just wealth is impossible without tithing because when you’re not paying your tithe, you’re under a financial curse”.

The issue of tithing is a very controversial tenet in the Christian faith. Whiles many clerics have welcomed the payment and collection of tithes as a necessary foundation for receiving God’s blessings, some have also rejected it saying it has no place in contemporary Christianity.
