The youngest daughter of former South Africa’s President Nelson Mandela, Zindzi’s death hit the internet a couple of days ago.

Details of her death remained unknown until now that her son Zondwa Mandela in an interview with SABC has shed light on it.

According to Zondwa, he cannot say what killed his mother because they are still waiting for an autopsy which can probably take days.

He however mentions that his mother tested positive for Covid-19 and there is a possibility that she died from Covid-19 related issues.

“Simply by the virtue that there was a positive test, we are therefore obligated to function and work within the framework of the existing regulation related to such cases,” he said.
