The International Police Organization, INTERPOL, has issued an arrest warrant for Samuel Adam Mahama for his role in the Airbus bribery scandal.
Mahama is wanted for his connections to the scandal which struck during the administration of former President John Dramani Mahama.

He is being charged with accepting a bribe to influence a public officer and acting with a public officer for private gain.
If he’s arrested, it is expected he would be extradited to the United Kingdom to stand trial. He faces 25 years in jail.
Samuel Adam Mahama is a Ghanaian citizen with UK connections who was allegedly influential in the Airbus bribery scandal.

His connections with the ersthwhile Mahama administration were reportedly utilized by Airbus, who are alleged to have bribed him to influence public officials to enable them land a lucrative contract.
The scandal has continually dogged former President Mahama, who has constantly denied any wrongdoing.
Interpol’s warrant for Mahama reads that “assurances are given that an extradition will be sought upon arrest of the person, in conformity with national laws and/or the applicable bilateral and multilateral treaties.”
Adam Mahama’s current Ghanaian passport was reportedly guaranteed by former President Mahama.
