Abbas Was Running A Very Legitimate Business, He’s Not Guilty – Hushpuppi’s American Lawyer Defends the Impossible

Lawyer of the Nigerian cyber crime lord Ramon Abbas Olorunwa, aka Hushpuppi, claims his client is a legitimate businessman and not a scammer as is being alleged.

Gal Pissetzky told Forbes that the charges against his client are all fabricated and he’s not a scammer as being claimed.

“Ramon Abass, aka Hushpuppi, is absolutely not guilty of all the charges they are accusing him of,” Gal told the financial publication.

“Abass was running a very legitimate business and had a very legitimate Instagram account and did not take part in any scam or fraud. He is an entrepreneur, he has real estate business and was promoting brands, that’s how he was very legitimately making his money.” he added.

Hushpuppi is currently being held in a prison in Chicago pending his trial for online financial fraud.

He’s alleged to have duped about 2m people out of over $400m using mostly business email compromise schemes.
