The Ghanaian movie industry have to hold their collective heads in shame following the death of actress Beatrice Chinnery, aka Miliky Micool.
Micool’s family has revealed that despite being sick for over a year no actor/actress came to see or visit her, neither did any delegation of industry players.

This is at a time actors continue to moan about how embarrassing it is that their veterans get into trouble and no one helps them, yet they themselves do nothing to help in such instances.
A son of the late actress spoke with Zionfelix about how his mum was sick for over a year battling kidney challenges and other ailments without any help from the industry.
“That’s one sad thing about the industry players because sometimes some of their colleagues when they’re in difficult moment they don’t show up until there’s a big problem [death],” he said.
According to him only about one or two actors ever came to see his mum, no one else did.
He added that whilst she was sick she even organized a delegation to visit another ailing actor, Emmanuel Armah but none came to see her.
When asked if the actors were aware she was sick he said they were very aware but simply chose not to make any attempt to help.
Micool, known for her role in Kejetia, died on the 10th of June at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. She was 54.
