The Criminal Investigations Department of The Ghana Police Service has revealed that actress Akuapem Poloo is playing “hide and seek” with them after she failed to honour an invitation they extended to her.

The actress has come under intense media scrutiny following a photo she took with her son and shared via social media, a photo which many child right activists described as inappropriate.
Poloo was subsequently invited by the Police CID after calls were placed to her by the Police department. However, in an interview with Accra-based Peace FM, the Director of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Ghana Police Service, Superintendent Mike Baah said the actress has not reported to the Police although she has been invited.

Superintendent Baah said the Police is working with the Social Welfare in order to provide Counselling for Poloo’s child because he has been psychologically abused adding that such abuse is a criminal offence under the Domestic Violence Act, Act 732.
