Renowned movie actor and aspiring MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, John Dumelo has made a prophetic declaration, predicting that he will win the seat with 54% of the votes.
The actor who appeared as a guest on Citi TV’s face to face with Umaru Sanda Amadu said that he is confident that he will secure the seat for his party, the NDC despite popular suggestions that the NPP will retain that seat.

Dumelo believes that despite the fact that the NPP has won the seat since election 2000, his party over the years have significantly closed the vote gap, adding that unlike areas like Bantama, Ejisu and Mampong, his constituency is far from being described as a safe seat for the NPP.
“I disagree with people saying that it [Ayawaso West Wuogon] is traditionally NPP. We won in 1992 and 1996 but we have come close to winning it, especially in 2012. In 2004 and 2008 we came close to winning it.” He said.
When asked about the percentage margin he expects to win the seat with, Mr Dumelo replied and said “a margin of 54”.
