The New Patriotic Party had its primaries on Saturday, June 20th.
About 20 incumbent MPs lost their seats with several others luckily retaining theirs.
Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya, Honorable Adwoa Safo in a very tight and close contest defeated Mike Ocquaye Junior, the Speaker of Parliament’ son by 10 votes.
Speaking in an interview on Atinka Tv, Honourable Kennedy Agyapong who is the father of Adwoa Safo’s two children noted that he openly campaigned for his baby mama.
According to him, he had earlier planned to be neutral but the Speaker of Parliament called and asked him to support his son, Mike Ocquaye Junior so he also thought it rather worthy to support the woman who is helping to raise his children.
