Socrate Safo Slams John Dumelo – Says Ayawaso West Needs A Legislator Not A Traffic Director

Socrate Safo says Ayawaso West Wuogon needs an MP who has the experience to be a legislator and not a traffic director, taking a dig at actor John Dumelo.

According to Safo, things are working well in the constituency and there’s no need for a change.

The filmmaker is one of the showbiz personalities not happy with Dumelo trying to get into political office and laid into him during an appearance on 3Fm.

“We don’t need a traffic warden please; we need somebody who will go and make the laws for us and somebody who will also lobby for projects for their constituency and Lydia [Alhassan] is already doing that,” he said.

He continued: “I don’t support him [Dumelo] because I know that from the look on the grounds, Lydia is performing, and if it is not broken, you don’t fix it. Whatever the constituency needs, Lydia is performing.”

Dumelo is making a play to become the next MP of Ayawaso West Wuogon on the ticket of the NDC, going against incumbent NPP MP Lydia Alhassan.

In his ongoing efforts to win the hearts and minds of the people in his constituency, Dumelo was recently spotted directing traffic.
