Update – Obour Confirmed to Have Lost Asante Akyem South Primary By 64 Votes

Former MUSIGA President Bice Osei Kuffour, aka Obour, has lost the NPP Asante Akyem South Primaries.

Obour ran the sitting MP, Kwaku Asante Boateng quite close but in the end he lost by 64 votes.

According to the election hub of the EIB Network, operators of GhOne TV and Starr Fm, Hon Asante Boateng garnered 360 votes followed by Obour with 296 votes.

Earlier reports that Obour had won the seat prove to be incorrect in light of the new reporting, even though it was a close race.
