The Multimedia Group Limited, Owners of Joy 99.7 Fm have attributed the supposed interruptions in the feed of their radio station, on the operations of Asaase Fm, a new radio station that is operating on the frequency, 99.5.
Some listeners of Joy Fm have complained about intermittent interruptions from another radio station.

In a statement, the management of Joy Fm said, “Dear Discerning Listener, We have received numerous messages of concern about the difficulties you have experienced recently, in tuning in to your superstation, Joy 99.7 FM.
This is due to signal interference from a radio station, broadcasting on 99.5mhz. We have alerted our industry regulator, the National Communications Authority (NCA), to this interference.
The Authority has informed us it is working to resolve the issue. We will keep you updated on progress, and look forward to receiving more feedback from you about your listener experiences.
