Veteran Ghanaian journalist, Afia Pokuaa aka Vim Lady has explained why her report on the Health Minister’s COVID-19 status turned false after the President’s confirmation.
Reports were rife on last Friday that Ghana’s Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Menu has tested positive for COVID-19.

Hours later, Vim Lady reported on her personal Facebook page that the Minister had not tested positive for Coronavirus, contrary to what various media outlets reported.
According to Afia Pokuaa, the Minister noted in a phone call that he was tired and was resting whilst he took his regular medication.
However, President Akufo-Addo confirmed in his recent briefing that the Health Minister is recovering from COVID-19 symptoms.

In a video that has popped up online, Vim Lady is seen explaining the ‘false report’
According to her, she needed to confirm the report from the primary source, that is, from the Minister himself and whatever she put out was from him
