On Sunday, June 14th 2020, the latest radio station in Accra, Asaase Radio, went live.
Asaase Radio, 99.5fm, held its first day of regular transmission with former BBC star Kwaku Sakyi Addo leading its cast of top-class presenters ready to take on the industry.
The station has captured the imagination of Ghanaians by signing some top-class on-air talent – Sakyi Addo, Caroline Sam and Naa Ashorkor, just to mention a few – but their spectacular nature extends beyond the scenes to the structure housing the station itself.
Photos of the premises of the station have hit the web and are causing quite the stir.
The facilities are top-notch, equipment is state of the art and the comfort both workers and visitors to the station would have is otherworldy.
This indicates a high level of investment into the station by its owners and perhaps portends a successful future for the channel.
