The Medical Superintendent of the Kwadaso SDA Hospital in Kumasi, Dr Boateng, who died during the weekend has been revealed to have died from COVID-19 according to the Ghana Health Service.
A team of contact tracers are said to have been deployed to identify and mark all persons who came into contact with the late doctor for isolation and further treatment.
The threat of the novel coronavirus pandemic shows no signs of abating yet as Ghana’s total case count now stands at 11, 964 with 4, 258 recoveries. A total of 54 deaths have also been recorded.

Meanwhile President Akuffo Addo in his address yesterday, confirmed that the honourable Minister of Health, Mr Kwaku Agyemang Manu has also contracted the disease and is responding to treatment.
