‘May You Rest In Peace’ – How Ghanaians Roasted the Health Minister After Akufo-Addo Exposed Him for Lying About COVID-19

Ghanaians have taken to social media to roast health minister Kwaku Agyemang-Manu after President Akufo-Addo revealed he has contracted the coronavirus despite his denial.

In numerous posts we sighted on social media, Ghanaians are mocking him, particularly with his claim that he’s only ‘resting’ at the hospital and not sick with COVID.

Over the weekend, reports emerged that the Health Minister had contracted the coronavirus and was receiving treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre.

He then came out to deny the reports, claiming he’s just ‘resting’ at the hospital.

But in his latest Presidential address Sunday night, Nana Addo said the minister has contracted the virus and wished him a speedy recovery.

After the President’s expose, the Minister came out with a statement claiming he’s responding to treatment in the hospital.

Immediately Ghanaians took to social media to mock him, with some saying since he claims he’s resting then he should rest in peace.
