There is a heavy and intimidating police presence at the premises of the Supreme Court as the highest court of the land adjudicates a case brought before it by the NDC against the Electoral Commission with respect to the compilation of a new voter’s register.

The NDC has now shifted from its initial position and is rather contending that it is unconstitutional for the EC to reject an existing voter ID as it will disenfranchise many Ghanaians which is a violation of Article 42 of the 1992 Constitution.
