A former member of the SM Militants in an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz show hosted by Andy Dosty revealed the secrets on how they were treated by Shatta Wale.
According to Joint 77, Shatta Wale on several occasions fired or threatened to fire them but will later call them to come back. The difference this time was the announcement on radio which implied that this time it is serious. Joint 77 claims to have sent him a text to apologise but his text was ignored. He later went to the house with some elderly people to apologise and beg for his forgiveness, but they were snubbed by Shatta Wale.
Shatta Wale claims the militants are disrespectful, but most importantly are lazy hence he refuses to work with them. He claims to have written their songs and verses on all the hits they made together but he can’t continue to babysit them after all these years of trying to give them the blueprint.
The SM Militants according to Bulldog who is the current manager for Shatta Wale signed a contract which ties them to Shatta for life, but this was disputed by Joint 77. Joint claims he signed a 5-year contract instead of the lifetime contract. Shatta Wale clarified that they agreed to sign a contract for life therefore anybody interested in working with these musicians will have to pay him to release them.
