Yesterday’s edition of the Date Rush Reunion served us drama as usual. But the main highlight of the night was the emotional confrontation between Joan and her chosen date Williams.
It will be recalled that the couple appeared on the show on 17th May and ended up finding each other after a dramatic episode, which had seen Joan beg Williams to turn his rush on since it was obvious she had already chosen him.
But immediately after the episode, rumours began to circulate that Joan was mentally ill and had actually been deported from overseas by her own parents.

However, yesterday the couple appeared once again on the Reunion edition of Date Rush. When asked by the host, if she heard or read about all the rumours, Joan refuted the allegations of being deported from overseas. According to her, she has never entered a flight.
On the claims of mental illness however, she did confirm that she was suffering from Schizophrenia, a serious mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally.
On her foreign accent, she claimed that it was acquired locally, what is referred to as LAFA (Locally Acquired Foreign Accent).
