The Kaneshie District Court hearing the case of forgery and publication of false news against embattled founder and leader of The International Godsway Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has today adjourned the case till July 20.
The adjournment, according to the court, is to allow the prosecutors adequate time to investigate the charges leveled against the self-acclaimed angel.
Obinim’s bail conditions, however, remain unchanged as he is still to remain on the GHC100,000.00 bail with three sureties, one of whom is to be justified.
Bishop Obinim was arrested on a bench warrant by the Criminal Investigations Department on Tuesday, May 19. He was subsequently charged with the offenses of Publication of false news and Forgery of document contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other offenses Act, 1960 (ACT 29).
