Wife Of U.S Officer Who Killed George Floyd Files For Divorce – Details

Wife of the Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin who murdered George Floyd has filed for divorce amid the uproar.

Last Friday saw a devastating incident where Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin pinned a black American George Floyd’s head down and knelt on his neck close to 9 minutes, killing him.

Though Derek Chauvin has been charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, demonstrations and uproars seeking justice for George Floyd are still ongoing.

Coming after that, the wife of Derek Chauvin, Ms Chauvin has filed for divorce.

According to reports, she is devastated and in a sorry state about the death of George Floyd whilst sympathizing with affected families and loved ones.

“This evening, I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy.

”She has filed for dissolution of her marriage to Derek Chauvin,” the Sekula Law Office said in a statement Friday night.

“While Ms. Chauvin has no children from her current marriage, she respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family be given safety and privacy during this difficult time.”
