‘Linda’, released in 2004, was Samini (then Batman’s) biggest hit which catapulted him into prominence.
However when it comes to actual money in hand through royalties Samini revealed he hasn’t received even a dime.
The issue of royalties to musicians has been a big issue recently, starting from Edem crying out that artistes are hungry due to the lack of structures in place to collect that money.
That position seems to be vindicated by this claim from Samini which is amazing to consider when you remember ‘Linda’ is one of the biggest hits in the history of Ghanaian music.
