If a prophet had prophesied that highlife musician Sista Afia will have a hotter diss track than rapper turned dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, many would have called him a false prophet.
When Sarkodie dropped his diss track “My Advice”, many thought Shatta Wale’s response will be fire due to the punches that was sent his way by Sark. The disappointment that followed the year long wait for a response on wax from Shatta Wale is worse than seeing the naked pictures of Afia Schwarzenegger. Shatta’s “Little Tip” was no where close to the calibre of songs he is capable of making with the lyrics childish and carrying no punch like a night with Wisa.
Unlike Shatta Wale, Sista Afia who has no background in rap was able to respond to two of the hottest female rappers with a dope diss track. Afia’s closest encounter with rap is the allegations that she and Medikal has tangled in the bedroom but the punchlines that were dropped in the track “She Got Nerves” was on par with any rapper in the country. Granted the body shaming of the other female artistes were unfortunate but one may argue that beef has no formula
It is a shame that Shatta’s prodigy Sista Afia can outshine him in a field he once dabbled. If one is to rank his top 20 diss tracks ever, Sista Afia’s “She Got Nerves” will rank higher than Shatta’s “Little Tip”. Some people including Eno Barony and Freda Rhymz have accused Sista Afia of having a ghost writer with Medikal alleged to be the one writing for her. She denies having a ghost writer but that is inconsequential since her delivery was on point.
