Controversial Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong, in a shocking move, has offered to use his own house as surety to activate the bail conditions of the embattled man of God, Daniel Obinim.

Angel Obinim was arrested and charged with the offences of publication of false news and forgery of documents contrary to sections 208 and 159 respectively of the Criminal and other offences Act, (1960; Act 29).

Bishop Obinim

It has come to light that three days after the controversial bishop was officially granted bail, he is still in the custody of the Police CID because he is yet to fulfil all his bail conditions.

Speaking on the development on Net2 TV, Ken Agyapong whose campaign led to the arrest of the self-acclaimed angel, expressed his sadness at the turn of events, saying that even though he wants the bishop to pay for his crimes, he is still saddened at his current situation.

The maverick lawmaker expressed his willingness to offer his own house to secure the bishop’s release. He also advised Obinim to be mindful of the fact that he has no genuine lovers as he has failed to find a third surety in his time of need.

The honourable MP was however quick to point out that even after Obinim’s release, he will still face the EOCO to answer questions of financial impropriety.
