Three of the top five Ghana trends on Twitter are about the rapper, an impressive feat beaten only by a few artistes – such as when Shatta Wale had 5 of 5 twitter trends about him on his birthday.

Fans of the rapper, who is unique in the rap game for rapping in Ewe, have taken over Twitter with wishes and tributes to him.

Edem has been trending all over the past few days for starting a conversation around how artistes in Ghana are mostly broke and hungry.

Edem is calling for structures to be put in place to allow musicians like himself to benefit from the success of their music so they no longer remain broke and hungry.
