Cameroonian Pastor Who Bragged He Could Cure Coronavirus Dies A Week After Contracting The Virus – Fear Grips Congregation

A popular Cameroonian pastor and a Presidential Candidate in their last election Frankline Ndifor has died of Coronavirus after he claimed to have a cure and had engaged his congregation in prayer sessions.

According to reports, the man of God died after a week of being tested positive for COVID-19 in Douala.

VOA reports that Cameroon police forced their way into the residence of the pastor as his congregation were in denial that their leader was on a spiritual retreat with Jesus Christ and was not dead.

According to reports, hundreds of his congregants gathered at his residence On Sunday morning after he died on Saturday to engage in prayers and singing with the belief that the man of God would wake up after his encounter with God.

Hence the governor of Cameroon’s coastal region deployed police to the venue to keep order.

There’s apparently a lingering fear among his congregation that they may be infected with the Coronavirus as they had been very much involved with the man of God through prayers and laying of hands.

“This is a pastor that has been laying hands [on the sick] and claiming that he cures COVID-19,” Che said. “If you, the person that claims that you are curing COVID-19, you are dead, what about the fellow people that were affected by the COVID-19? Now that he is dead, I do not know how the people that he was laying hands on will be healed.” a follower Rigobert Che said.

The congregation has since been ordered to report to the health facility to have a test for COVID 19.
