One Man Marrying One Woman Is Not As Biblical As Ghanaians Think – Counsellor Lutterodt

Counsellor George Lutterodt has given a reality check to many Ghanaians who think one man marrying one wife is biblical.

According to the often controversial counsellor, the notion is not as biblical as many of us think it is.

Lutterodt was speaking on Hitz Fm in Accra when he came out with this gem of ‘wisdom’.

“Marrying one person is not biblical as some of us think,” Lutterodt reportedly said.

Fact is in the Old Testament, the patriarchs often had more than one wife, sometimes two and more plus a host of concubines. Solomon famously had 300 wives and 700 concubines whilst Jacob, the father of Israel had two wives and two ‘official’ concubines.

However the New Testament can also be said to have repudiated that.

In another bit of wisdom, Lutterodt also added that men were not created for marriage.

“Men were not created for marriage, rather women,” Lutterodt said.
