“Every Artiste In Ghana Is Hungry, Some Might Just Not Say It” – Rapper Edem Laments

Rapper Edem in a series of tweets has lamented the state of the Ghana music industry, claiming that all artistes in the country are hungry because they get nothing from their craft.

According to the prominent rapper, the Ghanaian Industry is such that you will work hard and make your name but you will get nothing from your sweat except to rely on shows.

Edem claimed that musicians in Ghana pose as rich people but in reality, they get little or nothing. He alleged that after 10 years in the business, Renowned rapper Sarkodie has not been able to make 20,000 Ghana Cedis as royalties.

He also alleged that Shatta Wale has released over 300 songs and yet he has not made a penny from its usage.

The rapper who has spent his entire duration in the music landscape promoting the volta region, also revealed that he does not plan to die from hunger, neither does he wish others after him to die from hunger, and that is what has motivated him to speak out.
