The Director-General of The Ghana Health Service, Dr Nsiah Asare has disclosed via an interview on TV3 that an additional 1,500 COVID-19 patients are likely to be discharged in the coming days.
According to the renowned doctor who is also the Presidential advisor on Health, these 1,500 patients after being managed in isolation for 2 weeks, have shown no symptoms and have already passed an earlier test, awaiting a second confirmatory test.

Ghana, a few weeks ago was questioned for recording low recoveries as compared to other countries who are also battling the novel coronavirus. However, the story has changed in the last couple of days as the country has recorded over 1,700 recoveries.
“If you are isolated for two weeks and you pass your two negative tests we discharge you to go home and pronounce you as recovered”. Dr Asare noted.
