Bishop Obinim Has Not Been Arrested – Junior Pastor Claims

Adom Fm reports that a junior pastor of embattled Bishop, Daniel Obinim has denied claims making rounds that the Bishop has been arrested. The said junior Pastor, whose name was given as Adu also announced that the controversial Bishop will address the media today at a later time.

The self-acclaimed Angel of God was reported by Peace Fm news to have been placed under arrest yesterday whiles he was conducting a counselling session at his church premises.

The news further reported that the embattled Bishop claimed to be sick a few minutes after seeing the police personnel and had to be taken to a hospital facility in East Legon.

However, an Adom Fm reporter whose name was given as Daakyehene, and who visited the embattled Bishop’s house at Adjiringanor this morning reported that one of Bishop Obinim’s junior pastors called pastor Adu denied the alleged arrest report.

“We were told by his junior pastor that Bishop Obinim is sleeping in his home and has not been arrested. He even asked us to take our cameras to his home but he later told us that his lawyers have asked them not to speak,” Daakyehene said.

According to Daakyehene, though he did not see Bishop Obinim, he was informed by his junior pastor that Bishop Obinim will hold a press conference on the issue and address the matter himself.
