Government Lifts Ban On Drinking Spots, Pubs And Hotels

The Ghana Tourism Authority has in a letter directed that all drinking spots, pubs, and Hotels are free to open for business, after the President’s last address to the nation on measures taken in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The letter further directed that all safety, hygiene, and social distancing protocols should be fully observed and adhered to. Night clubs, however, remain closed to business.

This decision by government comes at a time when almost all the entire population had to stand up against church leaders while they were lobbying the government to lift the ban on church services.

Ghana’s Total confirmed cases of COVID-19 has increased to 5,408 as the country has recorded an additional 281 new cases. 514 people have now fully recovered from the disease whiles another 2 patients have lost their lives taking the death toll to 24.
