Afia Schwarzenegger In Big Trouble As ‘Pepperdem Ministries’ Appeal To Police To Arrest Her

Controversial Feminist advocacy group, Pepperdem Ministries has launched a blistering campaign to cause the arrest of comedian and controversial media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger over gang-rape threats she made to actress Efia Odo as far back as February 2020.

Afia Schwarzenegger in banter with Efia Odo sometime in February, had threatened to go to her house and beat her, and even pay men to gang-rape her.

This unfortunate statement by the comedian, though didn’t receive enough attention and outrage at the time, has now come to the attention of the feminist group who have lamented on what they term as ‘pervasive rape culture exhibited by Ghanaians.

In a Facebook post, the controversial group wrote, “In 2017, Afia Shwaznegar’s then-husband released nude and intimate footage of her on social media. That incident has been crucial to our advocacy for women. As a victim of sexual harassment, revenge porn, and sexist tropes, it is very unfortunate that Afia Shwazneger is threatening another woman with rape and by so doing, endorsing sexual violence against women as a corrective tool. Rape is not only illegal but absolutely wrong and socially reprehensible.

This is disgusting, dangerous and completely unacceptable! This is another unfortunate example of the rape culture that is pervasive in our society and a tragic reminder that women can also be guilty of perpetuating same. That this incident happened as far back as February 29th without enough public condemnation is evident of how normalized corrective rape is. We hope the Ghana Police Service and her employers take action and hold her accountable”.

Pepperdem Ministries is not new to such social media advocacy. It will be recalled that some time ago, they launched a similar campaign against renowned video blogger and comedian Teacher Kwadwo. That campaign led to the comedian being transferred from his school and losing a major endorsement deal with Huawei mobile.
