About Four persons suspected to be the armed robbers who robbed a bullion van conveying cash belonging to Absa Bank on the Techiman-Sunyani road have fled from police at Akumadan-Afrancho in the Offinso-North District of the Ashanti Region, leaving behind weapons and cash amounting GHS 195,000.
The suspected robbers according to eyewitnesses converged at an uncompleted gari factory at Afrancho-Mankranso near Akumadan where they were sharing their loot believed to be the money from the bullion van.
Heavily Armed police personnel upon a tip-off, stormed the premises but the suspected robbers fled the scene to the nearby bush leaving behind a green colour Fiat saloon car with registration number AS 4041 Y, a sack of scattered denominations of cash, and a polythene bag.

A search by the police on the Car revealed a G3 magazine loaded with 14 ammunitions, a Ghanaian passport bearing the name Ofori Samuel Bright, a Ghanaian driving license number Kusi-0085-01, Voters ID Number 2985015930 bearing the name Pastor Kofi Bioh, one Tecno mobile phone and one Itel mobile phone.
The unspecified amount of cash after being sent to the station was counted to be GHS 195,672. Police are on a manhunt for the four unidentified persons to assist in investigations into the matter.
