After Caroline Sampson and Joel Orleans, about five more top presenters at Accra based YFm have been fired.
The biggest name heading this latest batch of firings is veteran presenter Ms Naa, who has been fired alongside colleagues Agnes Ntow, Blackboy, Killerfingerz and DJ Snoop.

Like the Multimedia Group who are rumoured to be laying off about 100 workers, YFm is also apparently having major financial issues due to this COVID pandemic leading to a mass clearout.
The first to be affected are high earners such as high profile presenters at the station – for instance Caroline and Ms Naa.
Ms Naa took to Twitter to announce her own firing as Caroline did earlier in the day.
“After 11 yrs of knocking out the competition, my time with my family at Yfm has come to an end. Sad though I might be, I enjoyed every minute of it and am by no means done. Look for your girl cos imma be out there kickin ass and taking namesHugging face #ImASavage #podcastondaway.”

Caroline Sam, speaking after she was axed, made it clear the firings are related to financial difficulties the station is currently going through making them cast aside long time employees without batting an eye.
In coming days if the trend that has been building follows, we can expect more firing of very high profile stars from the media fraternity, with Naa Ashorkor, Caroline Sam and Mz Naa having opened the floodgates.
