A story that sounds like it came straight out of a Hollywood thriller has occurred in Ghana.

Manhyia Police have revealed that they have arrested a married Ghanaian woman and her boyfriend after they planned to kill the lady’s husband and father of her 3 kids so they can be together.

ACP Kwaku Buah, the Manhyia Divisional Police Commander, recounted what happened to Citi Fm in an interview.

The case involves Mavis Brepor, 27, who is married to David Gator, 52, and Mavis’ boyfriend Patrick Asare, 50.

According to ACP Buah, Asare and Mavis had been planning to assassinate Gator so they can be together after he’s gone.

They tried calling an assassin but after mixing up the numbers, called the police instead.

ACP Buah picked up and pretended to be the assassin to get all the details.

The couple were planning to pay Ghc 100,000 for the assassination.

The police played along and after four weeks, managed to lure Asare, popularly called Coach, to come to Kumasi for the killing where he was arrested.

The two admitted the offence after being arrested.
