In April, a US pastor-Bishop Gerald Glenn who defied social-distancing rules to host large congregations and said God is bigger than coronavirus died after contracting coronavirus.
Bishop Gerald Glenn was the founder of New Deliverance Evangelistic Church, which he established in 1995.
Despite the above, several Ghanaian Christians are still violating health advice and safety protocols put in place by the government–because they claim the God who protects them is bigger than coronavirus. Therefore, they do not need to adhere to the health safety measures.
A video (below) captures the above–featuring a preacher and other Christians exchanging words with Police Officers over their refusal to wear a mouth mask, as instructed by the state.
Their failure to wear the mask rests on theor belief that it’s God who is protecting them against any disease, including coronavirus and not any safety measures such as the wearing of face mask.
This comes at the time Ghana’s coronavirus cases jumped by 550 cases in just 48 hours.
