A Ghanaian lady claiming to be under the umbrella of the holy ghost defied public directives and the police as she went out in public without a face mask.
She was apprehended by the police who asked her why she was in town without a mask and her response was that she is protected by the holy spirit and the virus is a myth.
As part of efforts to keep the city safe after President Nana Akufo-Addo lifted the partial lockdown, the Greater Accra Security Council issued a directive that all persons must be wearing face masks before going out in public.

The directive has been in place since then and has largely been adhered to by the public. It doesn’t only protect you but it protects others from you if you’re a potential carrier.
However, all that common sense was thrown out the window today by two women in Accra who refused to wear the mask.
A video uploaded to social media by Citi Newsroom shows the moment they were stopped by police and questioned as to why they don’t have masks on.
These ladies denied the existence of any illness and added that even if it exists, they are protected by the blood of Jesus and would not fall ill.
The police tried to make them understand the facts on the ground but no amount of logic and reason can ever compete with religious zealotry.
In the name of the blood of Jesus, these ladies are moving around endangering others.
