‘Eggs All Over Shatta Movement Faces’ As Akon Denies Collaboration With Shatta Wale And Others

Senegalese-American singer, songwriter, record producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and actor Akon has denied putting up a reggae compilation called “Akon and Friends”, a compilation which many Shatta Wale fans had paraded around on social media as featuring their icon.

There had been widespread reports and several posts on social media suggesting that Shatta Wale was going to be featured on a project with Akon.

Shatta Movement fans were in ecstatic mood as they believed that such a collaboration would have increased their artiste’s numbers and influence in the country and the African Continent.

However, the world-renowned singer has taken to Twitter to denounce the assertions insisting he has not put together any such compilation.

He wrote, “For the record, I am not putting out a reggae compilation called “AKON and Friends“ I don’t know anything about this project if you see it being promoted it’s not happening”.
