In a video interview with Mzgee on Tv3, Rapper Strongman has dismissed calls for a rap battle between himself and prominent rapper, Yaa Pono, revealing that he is so full of respect towards his senior colleague that he deems it inappropriate to battle him.
As ‘beefs’ between singers and rappers continued to abound during this month, fans of the two rappers had called for a rap battle between the two, who have gained massive respect in the rap trade.
But reacting to the calls, Strongman told MzGee via Skype interview on TV3 New Day that it won’t happen. “Yaa Pono is like a godfather to me…so there wouldn’t be any battle of that sort. I knew Yaa Pono like two years before I even got to meet Sarkodie…,” the rapper revealed, adding “I do respect Yaa Pono any day, anytime”
