Renowned Ghanaian Gospel Musician, Uncle Ato has admonished Christians not to use the coronavirus pandemic and its accompanying ban on church services as an excuse not to give their offering. He encouraged Christians to utilize the online platforms created by their various churches to give their offering.
As part of measures aimed at ensuring that the Churches remain functional even in these unusual times, many churches have come up with innovative ways to have services online.

These online church services and its attendant request for offerings and tithes online have infuriated a section of Ghanaians, many of whom have accused the churches of being insensitive.
But in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, Uncle Ato stated that he sees nothing wrong with the action of the churches. He explained that giving as a Christian is an opportunity for God to bless the believer. Therefore Coronavirus should not stop a believer from seeking the blessings of God.
