You and Your Family Will Suffer – Ursula Owusu Fires Captain Smart Over COVID-19 Concert Allegations

Communications Minister Ursula Owusu Ekuful has fired back at Adom Fm’s Captain Smart over his claims that government spent money on the COVID-19 Virtual concert held last week to launch the COVID-19 tracker App.

Since the concert was held, the government has denied several times that taxpayer money was spent to organize the concert, but political opponents and some members of the media continue to dig and allege that taxpayer money was wasted on the concert.

Captain Smart, speaking on the issue, completely lost his cool and rained down curses on Ursula and anyone involved in allegedly spending money on the concert.

“…There’s only one thing I want to tell you. Never try to (en)rich yourselves with coronavirus pandemic. Why is the minister lying to Ghanaians and the artistes also denying receiving the money? God will punish you, and your punishment won’t be mild, you’ll suffer extremely,” Smart fired.

But Ursula was none too pleased at the curse and hit back at Captain Smart with her own ‘curse’.

“Someone should please tell Captain Smart that I return his curses on me to sender. He and his family will suffer, not me. I don’t lie and for those who find it hard to believe or are hard of hearing, let me repeat it again. GOVERNMENT OF GHANA DID NOT PAY A PESEWA TO ANYONE FOR EITHER THE COVID 19 TRACkER APP OR THE VIRTUAL CONCERT TO LAUNCH IT.

“I don’t know what he ate, drank or smoked but I have not received any money from anyone for this or been given any invoice to pay. There is no nokofio on my watch. Chew on it.” she wrote on social media.
