The Government of Ghana is doing everything within its power and reason to enforce a reasonable lockdown and social distancing as the world fights against COVID-19–yet several Ghanaians are thwarting this effort with their shocking behaviour.
A video captured by CITI TV (below) has shown a large number of Ghanaians trading in the shadows of the night at the Accra Brewery Market by defying the lockdown protocols.
The video of the packed market last night (17 April 2020) shows trading in the night, with no social distancing in place.
Obviously, people believe they are being smart by trading at night at the blind side of the authorities when in fact, they are just putting their lives and that of the general population at risk.
This is taking place at the time Ghana’s COVID-19 cases officially sits at 641 and it happened the same night Nigeria was thrown into a state of mourning after Abba Kyari, the chief of staff to President’s Muhammadu Buhari died from coronavirus.
