Ghana’s total confirmed cases of COVID-19 has increased to 834 with 9 deaths. According to the official information released by the Ghana Health Service, Ghana has recorded 193 new cases and 1 new death. A total of 99 persons have recovered, while another 4 patients are said to be critically or moderately ill.
It would be recalled that on Thursday 16th April 2020, the government revealed that it was expecting results from some 12,000 samples which were sent for testing.

Total samples tested so far now stands at 60, 916 with 1.37 % testing positive. Regions that have reported cases are Greater Accra, Ashanti, Eastern, Northern, Volta, Upper East, Upper West, Central, Western and North East.
It is unclear whether the partial lockdown of the cities in Kasoa, Greater Accra, and Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Areas will be extended.
Worldwide confirmed cases of the dreaded virus stand at 2,275,738 with 156,104 deaths and 582,424 recoveries.
