Dancehall King Shatta Wale on Friday held a donation exercise at the James Camp Prisons in Accra.
Wale’s team donated several items to officials of the prison to help their efforts to keep things smoothly running under this lockdown.
The items donated included food items (bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, sacks of sugar, boxes of spaghetti, boxes of frozen chicken wings, canned tomatoes), boxes of biscuits, laundry and bath soaps, boxes of toilet tissue, cartons of soft drinks and a dental care kit.
The donation exercise was led by Charles Nii Armah Mensah Snr, Wale’s father.
It is the latest in a series of such exercises held by Shatta Wale to help out this period.
Whatever you think of him, Wale is doing the right thing with these donations – far ahead of what many other musicians on his own level are doing.
