Ghanaian Singer Becca has stated that she has not sampled South African singer Sho Madjozi’s “John Cena” song for her single, “no one”, as people are claiming.
In an interview with Abeiku Santana, the singer clarified that although there are similarities between her song and that of the South African, it was because she was trying a new genre of music called Gqom.

According to the singer, it is an electronic dance music that emerged in early 2010 from Durban, South Africa. Becca expressed disappointed that people could make such allegations against her when they did not even know the relationship between her and the South African.
“There are varieties of genres of music. South Africa has many beats. I chose to do Gqom beats. If you listen to the two songs, they all sound alike”. She explained.

Becca revealed that even as people continued to bash her, the song was trending at number two in South Africa.
